Couples Therapy
Address communication breakdowns, recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust, infidelity, betrayal, and attachment injuries while building healthier ways to listen, repair, reconnect, and move forward together.
Relationships and life can take us to unexpected crossroads. Therapy offers a supportive space to understand what’s happening, reconnect with what matters, and begin moving forward with intention.
I’m Reneé Smith, Ph.D., LMFT—a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who finds purpose and fulfillment in working with couples, adult individuals, and the dynamics within and between adult family members and family systems.
I am passionate about helping adults learn new ways to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen relationships, and pursue meaningful personal growth. I feel a particular calling to support healing after betrayal, broken trust, infidelity, emotional trauma, and other attachment injuries—experiences that can leave individuals and relationships feeling disconnected, guarded, or unsure of how to move forward.
Being invited into the most vulnerable spaces of a person’s life or relationship is no small gesture. I regard that trust as a privilege, and it is one of the reasons I approach this work with humility, compassion, and care.
Crossroads represent moments of choice—times when we pause, consider where we have been, and decide how we want to move forward. Relationships and life can bring us to these moments in ways both expected and unexpected.
Couples, individuals, and adult family members may arrive at a crossroads after conflict, betrayal, transition, loss, disconnection, or simply the realization that an old way of moving forward no longer works. Therapy can offer space to pause, understand what brought you here, consider what matters most, and move toward a path shaped by greater clarity, connection, and intention.
